Benin




Benin is a democratic country that occupies about 113 thousand sq.km stretched from the cost of Guinea Gulf to the North.
The state language is French.
The largest river of Benin - Veme. The climate of the South of Benin is equatorial with two rainy seasons. Average air temperatures are 24-27°C. The cost is covered with wet equatorial forests.
On the North there are two brightly expressed seasons - dry that lasts from October till April and rainy. Average temperature of January -25°C, July - 32°C. The North part of the country is the Sudan savanna with palms, rich wild nature (buffaloes, lions, cheetahs, panthers, elephants), especially in national parks.
The population of the country is 5,1 million inhabitants and includes more than 60 peoples. Religion: Heathens - 70%, Christians - 15%, Islam - 15%.The capital of the country - Porto-Novo.
