Nigeria ![]() Nigeria is one of the biggest countries of the West Africa with the area of 924 000 sq.km. and population of more than 91 million people. From the South the country is washed by the Guinea Gulf, on the land it borders Benin, Niger, Chad and Cameroon. The official language is English. The climate almost on the whole territory of Nigeria is equatorial. Average temperature everywhere exceeds 25°C. August is the most rainy and cool month. The driest period is winter. Nigeria is a country of forests and savannas. Animal world is rich: elephants, rhinoceroses, leopards, hyenas, buffaloes. There are also lots of birds in savannas and forests.
