Zimbabwe Zimbabwe is a state in the South Africa. It occupies 390,6 thousand sq.km. To the North it borders SAR, to the South -Zambia, to the East -Mozambique, to the West -Botswana. The official language is English. The main rivers are Zambezi, Lympopo. The climate on the North half is subequatorial. In the South it is tropical. In summer (December-March) the temperature does not exceed 25 °C, in winter (June-August) - 17°C. Forests are spread with small islands. The fauna though typical for African savannas (elephants, rhinoceroses, giraffes, lions, leopards, hippopotamuses) but it is very impoverished because of extermination of big animals. The majority of the population with a number of 10,7 million people belongs to the Bantu language group. Religion: Heathens - 74%, others are Christians and Muslims.
